What Does the following pelvic Scan Result Indicate? 

Hi good morning doc, I went for a scan that read the following: PELVIC SCAN The endometrial cavity is thickened (D= 2.04cm) nil difiningbgestational sac, the echo texture is largerly echogenic with mottled echoes content noted. The uterine corpus is anteverted and not bulky _ no appreciable myoma. The internal is is closed . no significant fluid seen in the pouch of douglas. IMPRESSION: MISSED ABORTION. Please doctor what does this mean?

Hi, Missed abortion means they have not been able to detect a heart beat in your baby indicating that the fetus is not alive. You will have to see your gynaecologist who will suggest you to undergo a Dilatation and Evacuation procedure. Take care.
